One of my strongest interiordesign-memories is from visiting Mathias Dahlgrens Matbaren when it first opened in 2007. It was like nothing I had ever seen or experienced before, sitting on a sheepskin covered bench with bread in a paper bag placed on a wooden tray, mind blowing :) 17 years later its still my favorite restaurant interior.
Studio Ilses second Stockholm masterpiece wowed me just as much. "Ett hem", A Home, truly lives up to its name. As someone wrote, from the first moment of being buzzed in through the secret entrance you truly feel as a close friend of the (very wealthy) family on a visit. Offered cake and being addressed by your first name. The interiors showcase classic Swedish design as part of a modern eclectic whole in the most inspiring way.
