Burmeister is a ceramist and designer born in 1950. She trained at the Höhr-Grenzhausen design school in Germany and is a close relative of Gabriel Burmeister (1886-1946) who founded Gabrielverken in Timmernabben. Ingegärdh took over as lead designer in 1974. Today the main focus of the company is production of ceramic stoves (kakelugnar).
