Condition: scratches, mainly on base but also on sides. Overall impression good.
Vicke Lindstrand (1904–1983) is best known for his glass works, but was also a textile artist, illustrator, painter, sculptor and ceramicist. He was employed by Simon Gate at Orrefors in 1928 and worked with Gate and Edward Hald during the formative period that began in connection with the World Exhibition in Paris in 1925, when Hald presented the style that later came to be known as "Swedish Grace". Vicke Lindstrand himself had a breakthrough at the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930 and at the World Exhibition in New York in 1939. Lindstrand spent twelve years working at Orrefors.
